Practical information


La Sportiva Skaala Uphill, from 29 to 1843 metres above sea level, is North Europe's tougest mountain race in terms of the difference in altitude of 1.814 metres between start and finish.

The total distance is 8,2 km, and the average rise is 22,1 %.

La Sportiva Skaala Uphill is arranged with both competition class with individual timekeeping, and also with a fun-run class without timekeeping. 

The race starts at Tjugen, 29 metres above sea level.

08.00-09.30    Start fun-run class without timekeeping (minimum 10 years of age)
10.00 Start competition class (minimum 15 years of age)
11.00-15.00 Distribution of medals at the finish at Skaala
18.48 Award ceremony and gift certificates at Hotel Alexandra
19.45 Barbeque in the Alexandra garden


Saturday morning at the starting-point you will get:

  • a sport-chocolate Kvikk Lunsj
  • a bottle of Imsdal water 
  • a bottle of Powerade 

There will be five drinking stations during the race with Powerade and water.

"Mini Skaala Uphill" for children 5-12 years old Sunday 16th arranged by the sponsor Sparebanken Sogn og Fjordane.
